In our main episode, we explored what true resilience really means, the difference between being resilient and simply surviving, how chronic stress affects our nervous system, why setting boundaries can feel so difficult, and what the Wim Hof Method, cold exposure and Krav Maga can teach us about fear, discomfort and inner strength.

Being strong doesn't mean you have to handle everything on your own. There is a difference between being resilient and simply becoming very good at surviving. True resilience isn't about how much you can endure. It's about staying connected to yourself. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is stop and listen to what your body is telling you.

About the guest: Marta Bagan

Marta Bagan is a Resilience & Transformation Mentor, Wim Hof Method Certified Instructor, Krav Maga Instructor, speaker, and workshop facilitator whose work explores what it really means to be strong — especially when strength has become synonymous with pushing through, handling everything, and ignoring our own needs.

She works with women who may appear strong, capable, and in control on the outside, yet underneath feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. Through her work, Marta helps women build confidence, create healthier boundaries, reconnect with their bodies, and develop a deeper sense of self-trust.

Her unique approach combines breathwork, nervous system regulation, self-defence, the Wim Hof Method, cold exposure, and transformational work. Although these practices may seem very different, they share an important principle: learning how to stay connected to ourselves when we experience stress, fear, pressure, or discomfort.

At the heart of Marta's work is a different understanding of resilience. Rather than seeing resilience simply as the ability to endure more, push harder, or keep functioning no matter what, she explores the difference between true resilience and becoming very good at surviving. Her work encourages women to recognise patterns such as over-giving, people-pleasing, ignoring their own needs, and constantly pushing through — and to replace them with greater awareness, healthier boundaries, and self-trust.

Marta's own journey of transformation has deeply shaped the way she understands resilience today. Her experience taught her that appearing strong on the outside doesn't necessarily mean everything is okay on the inside — and that sometimes the strongest thing we can do is stop, listen to ourselves, set a boundary, and choose differently.

Her work is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: true strength isn't about becoming someone else. It's about remembering who you are and being free to be yourself.
